Today I love...THE BURIED LIFE III

Ok,, sO after days of thinking, breathing and eating The Buried Life, tonight I'll be done. Well at least on my blog or at least till Monday because I will be watching their season finale.

It is pretty obvious that I like the show and what they are doing. And as I already said on post #1 I have a list myself. Actually I think that written or not everyone has a list of things they want to do before they die. Sometimes we don't even realize what they are until someone asks us. At the show the guys helped a blind latin guy realize one of his dreams. When they asked him: "What do you wanna do before you die" he said ride a horse. Maybe that wasn't on his list, maybe he had thought about it but never thought of telling someone and really doing it.

After watching this show a lot of people are sitting down and writing their own list. Maybe they never thought about this or maybe they had but never had drive to really go on with it. For a lot of kids and adults this guys are role models, and for what I have seen in their facebook page and on twitter a great group of kids wants to be like them and even help them. Two of the item on their list are: #1 to play basketball with Pres. Obama, #2 to dance with Helen Degeneres. This two already know about them, they have to, Why?. Because there are thousands of kids emailing and twittering both of them and their reps and I bet even their mothers asking, begging, demanding they help TBL guys complete their desire task. The Obama episode has already been shown and they couldnt do it but I think they are gonna make, and Ellen I dont know if they tried already but that is a checked item for sure, I think the harder one might be Jonnie kissing Rachel McAdams but even that might be doable (is that how you spell it?).

Now, is the boys goal to just checked their items, or as they say, to help others accomplish theirs to? Because even though some people are starting to get moving with their dreams there are other who treat the guys like celebrities and want to help them checked their list. It is great that they are trying to help, but in the way I think people forget the real sense and meaning of the project (at least the meaning it has for me), which is to make us want to live our life to the fullest. To sit on our chairs dreaming and sending emails to people to make others dream come true is like buying Kim Kardashians perfume, watching her show and dreaming of having her life; a lot of gain for her none for us. Ok, I don't like my example because one, I hope the guys are nothing like Kim, attention/fame hungry and because I am in favor of people helping getting the word out. What I mean is that I am totally in favor of people helping the TBL crew as long as they get the message and use it for themselves as well.

For me this show should have a "pay it forward" kind of consequence. The guys do their list while helping others do theirs. Just like the movie "The Bucket List" touched me, every single person that has contact with this show should be touch as well. Maybe not all of us have the time or resources to step away from our duties and go on the road to complete our list. But little by little we should all do it. Take time to reflect and take what we want out of life. Why should we wait till we are gray and old to reflect on what could have been, or wait for some deadly disease to decide our life spam for us to take action and do what we wanted. Why not do it why there's is still time. And one this is for sure, the list will never end. Every time we achieve one of our items another one comes out.

To write a blog...it was one item on my list. Last month I decided to do it. Maybe I will be talking to myself, maybe no one will read it. I don't even have an idea of how to make people know about it. or what I will write about or if someone will be interested in reading it but I said "the hell with it". I love talking and I love writing so I did it. Will I keep writing next week or next month ? I don't know. Knowing me I will get tired of it in two weeks aprox., I'm the kind of person that wants to try something, does it, and then is like "ok, what can I try next".
I have on thing to cross of my list but many others yet to complete or even imagine. But there lies the beauty of it. So, yes this week I love The Buried Life, I love the guys from The Buried Life and I love their positive influence. I wish people will get the best out of the show, know that it is fun to watch but even funner to get on the imaginary wagon and fulfill their life dreams, one item at a time.

ps. Hopefully I will be able to apply all this to myself. :)

Just one question remains...
"What do you want to do before you die?" JP

Today I love...THE BURIED LIFE II

Ok,, so lets start...
Today is Monday which means either Gossip Girl or The Buried Life. GG is off season so it means TBL !!!
I already wrote an introduction about their show. Now is time to get to know a little about them.

* Dave Lingwood:
When I first saw TBL I tought that Dave looked like a shy guy but actually I dont think any of them are. This 23 year old dude studied or studies at Concordia University doing sociology. He says others see him as "the crazy one" and is a competitive break dancer, which he got to show a little at the Krump competition, he even auditioned for Cirque de Soleil (at least he said so :/ )and through break dancing met Jonnie Penn. At least on tv he sees like the jokester,the one always making funny comments and faces and he looked like he was about to faint when he witnessed a birth. His favorite item on the list is "#83: Do a sketch with Will Ferrell",
Favorite completed: #5: Bomb a mountain on a longboard. So now we know, he is 23, maybe 24 already, he studied in Canada, has lots of energy and taken from his major he can hold a conversation. :)

* Ben Nemtin:
Ben Nemtin a.k.a Cristiano Ronaldo is 26 years old and not as overly tan as C.Ronaldo. He is from Canada as well and when to the University of Victoria with Duncan Penn. I love his style and he said he loves sunglasses so he should be my friend. He calls himself the "hustler" of the group and it has been said that he is "hustling " (if that's a term)with Whitney Port from The City. He loves sandwiches, and making them, Favorite List Item: #46: Do a sketch with Will Ferrell
Favorite Completed: #35: Sing the National Anthem to a Packed Stadium.

* Duncan Penn:
He is also 26 years old and studied with Ben at the University of Victoria. He likes guitars and surf. He is in charge of the group's business and resolving problems. He looks very in charge a lot of the time on the show, and is a mic hugger on interviews. There is a page on faacebook that claims he is married ( it most be fake). Favorite List Item: # 39 Be in a boxing match and favorite Completed: #94 Party with Rockstars – [The Black Eyes Peas]

** JONNIE PENN <3
As it is obviously stated by the last names, Jonnie Penn a.k.a my man is Duncan Penn's little brother. He went to McGill University @ Montreal at which he studied History and English. Mr. J calls himself "the ideas man", also he films and edicts. He likes skating, snowboarding and filming. In some of the scenes of their show, specially the ones with the vintage takes you can tell that he is behind the camera ( or at least I think so). His favorite List Item is #100: Go to Space, favorite Completed: #1: Open the 6 O’clock News and I heard on an interview that if he could just do one out of all of them before dying it would be to fall in love. He seems very smart, sweet,fun and yes he is hot.
Found this quote of his on their page and loved it:"I wanna live life to the limit and love it a lot. Fuel ambition with patience, respect, and a keen eye and you can do anything. I can prove it."

I love soccer and with it comes hot guys, hellos Beckham, Ronaldo, Kaka, Pato. But I have always hated girls that like players, wear their stuff and cheer for their teams just because they are hot. If you are a hot player but have no game or no depth I won't like you. You can be the hottest guy on the planet but if you don't have a brain, or interests apart from yourself you are UGLY, not fun. So I know a lot of girls love this show because the guys are cute but there is more depth to it. They really, truly seem to care about what they are doing. They seem serious about it all and actually look like guys that you could have lots of fun with but at the same time hold a serious relevant conversation.
All of my info has been taken from their page: The Buried Life.com and other from interviews.
If you guys want to know more about them visit their page, watch their show and/or videos on Youtube.

I'm actually sleepy right now so any other information will come later. But this week I still love TBL and tomorrow I will be talking more about them and their influences.
So what do I love today?...again THE BURIED LIFE
